Écrire avec le soleil (Writing with the sun) is an artist’s book designed by Sandrine Marc to document the work carried out during her research and creation residency at the Musée Nicéphore Niépce in Chalon-sur-Saône. The sequence of images explores the physical manifestations of light and looks at the recording media of the photographic medium since its invention, from silver to digital. It’s a poetic experiment in the conditions under which images appear, are preserved and disseminated.
